A useful SME marketing strategy answers four questions: who are we trying to reach, which costly problem do they recognise, what can we say that is genuinely useful, and what should they do next?

Build one connected journey

Choose one main audience and one offer. Publish around the problems that appear before they buy. Send interested people to a calculator, checklist or diagnostic that continues the same conversation.

Then follow up based on what they used. Someone calculating conversion needs a different email from someone checking sales-team capacity. Relevance is more charming than shouting.

Measure movement, not applause

Track visits, tool completions, qualified conversations and sales. Reach is useful context. It is not the final invoice. A smaller audience taking sensible action can be far more valuable.

Once one path works, add another channel. Do not build seven leaking taps because somebody on the internet announced that short video is compulsory.
