New business matters. So do the customers who already trust you, understand your value and do not need a first date with your company biography.
Find the second sale
Ask what problem usually appears after the first one is solved. Build a useful check-in around that moment instead of waiting until you need this month’s target.
Review repeat purchases, referrals, renewals and quiet customers every month. A customer should not have to disappear dramatically before somebody notices.
Make the experience worth repeating
Set expectations, communicate progress and ask for honest feedback. Then act on it. A loyalty programme cannot rescue an irritating experience with points.
Retention is not merely customer service. It is part of the revenue strategy—and often the calmer part.
