AI is useful when the job is clear. It can research customers, sum up calls, draft ideas and spot patterns. It cannot fix a job nobody has explained.
Start with one clear job
Choose a repetitive, measurable task: call preparation, note-to-action summaries or proposal follow-up. Define the inputs, human review and expected output. Test it for four weeks.
Do not begin with ‘we need AI.’ Begin with ‘this task wastes five hours and causes missed follow-up.’ Technology needs a job description too.
Keep the human bit
Buyers still need judgement, curiosity and trust. Use AI to create time for those things—not to manufacture fake familiarity at industrial scale.
